Fellowship Ministries or " Koinonia"

-So what does "Koinonia" mean anyway?

-Koinonia-

1.) Close association involving mutual interests and sharing: association, communion, fellowship, close relationship.

2.) Attitude of good will that manifests an interest in a close relationship: generosity, fellow-feeling, altruism.

Acts 2:42 " They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship (Koinonia), to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

Growing Closer Through Fellowship Ministries: Ministries include:

Free Food Wednesdays- Every Wednesday night we open the church doors of FRC and our kitchen and serve somewhere around 150-200 people from our church and our community.

Sonshine Visitors- Every week two women from our church take an entire day and visit with those from our church and our community who are not able to otherwise "get out."

Coffee time on Sundays- After both services we serve coffee, tea, and an occasional pastry hoping to nurture conversation between old and new friends alike.

Women's Christmas Party- Every December anywhere between 80-100 of FRC's women gather and enjoy encouragement in faith from a guest speaker and a wonderful evening of fellowship.

Porch Visitors- Anytime someone visits our church, if they sign their name in our welcome folder, someone from our church welcomes them later that week with a smile and a plate of goodies to say "hello."

Potlucks- Among the best meals anywhere, an FRC potluck is a way of encouraging new and old relationships.

Funeral Receptions- When someone from our church or community passes away, we do our best to care for the family that grieves. One of the ways that we do that is by hosting a funeral reception so family and friends have a place to grieve well.

Date Night- On the third Friday of every month we open our church nursery and encourage husbands and wives to enjoy a date, without concern of the care and welfare of their precious children.
